The manager expects an average of one customer per minute; arrivals are approximately Poisson distributed. If the manager calls in three teams find :
a. The probability that no one will be in the restaurant,
b. The probability that a customer will not have to wait to be served,
c. The expected length of the line of customers waiting to be served,
d. The expected time in minutes on line, waiting to be served,
e. The expected total time on line and being served, and
f. The total number of customers expected on line or being served.
Also find the least number of teams that should report for work if the manager wants the average total time per customer, on line and being served, not to exceed 2.5 minutes?
