Dorothy Perrin Moore is an Emeritus Professor of Business Administration at The Citadel School of Business, where she held the title of Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship. Encompassing more than 62 refereed journal articles, book chapters, published proceedings and technical reports along with more than 32 other professional conference presentations and numerous practitioner writings and presentations, her scholarship includes the prize winning book Careerpreneurs-Lessons from Leading Women Entrepreneurs on Building A Career Without Boundaries, and presently being translated into Chinese.
She is a recipient of the Academy of Management’ Women in Management Division’s Sage Janet Chusmir Award for outstanding service as mentor, scholar, and role model and the Division’s Sage Scholarship Award for outstanding contributions to research on gender in organizations. In 2005 she was elected as a Justin G. Longenecker Fellow in the United States Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship. Her most recent book, coauthored, Island in the Storm, Sullivan’s Island and Hurricane Hugo, is the winner of the Bronze Award for the 2006 ForeWord Magazine Book-of-the-Year (Regional).
