For more information about writing for The Shako, attend an information
session to be held on
Thursday, September 21, 2006, at 6:30 in Capers 107. You are encouraged to bring with you any pieces you would like
to submit or any works in progress. Poems and short stories are both welcome. At the meeting, the Editor-in-Chief
will provide submission guidelines and tips, and the Fiction Editor and Poetry Editor will discuss the
criteria by which submissions will be selected. As yet, the position of Photography Editor has not been filled,
and the staff of The Shako especially encourage anyone interested in this position to attend the session.
All cadets, active duty students, day students, and graduate students are welcome to submit stories, poems, photography, or drawings to The Shako. Contributors are reminded that The Shako is an official Citadel publication. While the staff makes every effort to work with writers who wish to publish in The Shako, publication is selective. We are not able to publish all submissions we receive. If you are unable to attend the meeting but would still like to submit a piece, please contact the appropriate member of the Editorial Staff |
