Welcome to Structural Biomechanics ! This goal of this course is “The anatomical and mechanical analysis of functional posture and motor performance for the purpose of improving teaching and coaching effectiveness.” In the following pages you will find important information needed for success in this course. Please take time to navigate through the website and become familiar with the contents of the successive web pages. You should take the time to come by my office and introduce yourself before you need me to help you with a problem. If you cannot make my office hours, e-mail or leave a voice mail with the following information: a) Your specific concerns or problems related to the course b) All possible solutions you have thought on your own regarding solving the problem. c) Your name (spell your last name), student ID, and class day/time d) Your contact information (i.e. phone number) and day and time periods you should be contacted by the instructor. If you follow this format, it will ensure a prompt and accurate response to your concerns. You should note that I prefer e-mail.. If you are looking for a " faster response" from the instructor, use e-mail. Please note that office hours are not just for solving problems. You are encouraged to use my office hours to get additional readings or materials, share ideas you have for improving of the course, or to even check your progress in the course.
